Tailor-made does not mean swapping the hotel in a ready-made itinerary.

Tailor-made means the itinerary does not exist yet when the conversation starts.

Talk to Nomade

Everyone says they do tailor-made

“Tailor-made” has become an agency cliché. Almost everyone says they do it.

For us the difference is simple. Personalizing is swapping the hotel and the date in a ready-made itinerary. Tailor-made is when the itinerary does not exist yet.

Tailor-made begins when we do not yet know exactly how the trip will end.

What you really want

Almost always it is to stop assembling the puzzle on your own. You have pieces of the trip in your head, not a finished trip.

“I want to go to the event.” “I want to drive through that region.” “My kids have to enjoy it too.” “I want to discover wines.” “I have fifteen days.”

A trip can start from anywhere

You do not need to know exactly where you want to go. You can arrive with one of these, or with a still-vague idea.

  1. A date

You need to be somewhere on a specific day. The trip is built from there.

  2. An event

A match, a fair, a festival, or a competition that gives the trip its center.

  3. A road

Driving through a region, without yet knowing where you will sleep each night.

  4. An interest

Horses, wine, food, children: something you want to live, before knowing where.

  5. A place

A destination you already have in mind and want to do properly.

From any of these starting points, we design the rest.

Who it makes sense for

  • People whose trip does not fit easily into a package.
  • Those with specific dates, several interests, or a combination of destinations.
  • Trips with an event, with children, by car through a region, or with special activities.
  • Those who found nothing ready-made that looked like the trip they imagined.

Who it may not be for

  • Anyone who has already decided on the exact flight, hotel, dates, and activities and just wants the lowest price.
  • Very simple bookings: this is not always the best process for them.

What changes the trip most

The reason for the trip
It comes before the destination.
The pace
Often matters more than the number of cities.
The priorities
Not everything fits. Choosing is part of the design.
The logistics
A good idea can turn bad once the transfers are taken into account.
The budget
It should go where it makes the most difference.

Tailor-made does not mean choosing between A, B, and C

Personalization is not showing three hotels and asking which you prefer. Often our work starts before that.

Maybe the first decision is working out whether that city should be on the itinerary at all. Or whether the car should be picked up there. Or whether it is worth adding a night along the way to turn a transfer into an experience.

That is where a trip starts to take shape.

Illustrative example

How a trip comes to exist

A client may arrive because they need to be in a certain city on a certain date. From that, other wishes appear: driving through the countryside, spending a few nights along the way, trying a ranch experience, including shops tied to the equestrian world, finding good barbecue, and perhaps fitting in an event.

The trip did not exist ready-made. It was built from those conditions.

Where people go wrong

  • Starting from the map and trying to fill every day. That is how you end up with six cities in ten nights, constant hotel changes, and the feeling that you had to “complete” the itinerary.

How we design

First we define anchors: dates that do not change, events, cities that really matter, and essential experiences.

Then we design transfers and nights. Only then do we get into the details.

Illustrative: every trip has its own path.

How many days

The duration is planned around your available time and what you want to experience.

A short trip can also need tailor-made planning. We adjust the scope to your time and interests.

When to start planning

There is no general seasonality: each project has its own.

The more a trip depends on events, special accommodation, or few possible dates, the earlier we need to start.

About the investment

Projects that need a lot of research may carry a planning fee, disclosed before the work begins. We never start paid work without explaining what will be done and what it will cost.

Questions that always come up

Do you put everything together?

We can organize the whole trip.

Can I already have part of it booked?

Yes.

Do I need to know exactly where I want to go?

No. We can start from a destination, a road, an interest, an event, or a still-vague idea.

Can you work from an event?

Yes, and that is a great example of a tailor-made trip.

Will I receive options?

Yes, but curation does not mean sending twenty hotels and handing the decision back to the client.

Where do you want to start?

It can be a date, an event, a road, an interest, or a still-vague idea. Tell us what you have in hand; we design the rest together.
